In 2009 I had the good fortune

to visit Trinity College, Cambridge, and spend time in their splendid dining hall in the presence of Eworth's magnificent full-length panel portrait of King Henry VIII (1567). This finding is part of a draft catalogue entry for this painting, focused here upon King Henry's picture as representative of the chivalric dynasty of The Order of the Garter. There is also a complete catalogue entry on this painting available. - HW 13Feb2021
